Suspected Al-Qaeda Militants Attack Soldiers in Mareb

Mareb- Feb 21, 2011, At least six people were killed, including four soldiers and several others wounded in Mareb province after an armed group, believed to be suspected Al-Qaeda militants attacked a vehicle patrol in Mafrak Al-Sad district.
Sources said that one civilian from Abida tribe was killed, and another suspected Al-Qaeda member during an exchange of gun fire between the armed group and the security forces. No more details were reported.
