SANA’A- Mar 8, 2011- The Interior Ministry ordered on Tuesday its security services to tighten security measures to enforce a ban on carrying weapons in the capital Sana’a and major cities of the country.
In a press release, the Ministry said that all security patrols, checkpoints and security centers across Yemen should apply strict security measures against the holders of weapons.
It confirmed that all official permissions to carry weapons had been invalid, excluding the permissions issued personally by Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masry.
