Explosions rock Yemeni sea port of Aden

SANA'A, May 19, 2012- Local residents said that huge explosions rocked on Saturday before dawn different places in Yemen's southern sea port of Aden.

Witnesses told the Aden Tomorrow website that huge explosions followed by sporadic machine guns were heard in Ariesh district of Khor Makser.

''The explosions were very strong and shocked the houses of the residents in the city of Aden,'' residents told the website.

According to local officials Yemeni security troops have arrested figures believed to be Sothern Movement militants in the last two weeks.

Government officials could not be immediately reached to confirm or deny the news.
