Sana'a, Apr 8, 2011- At least one anti-government protester was killed and 20 others wounded in Yemen's southern province of Taiz in clashes between security forces and anti-government protesters.
Eyewitnesses said that the clashes erupted after the Friday prayer when Yemen's security forces fired live bullets toward anti-Saleh protesters demanding the ouster of President Saleh.
The incident coincided with a massive demonstration in Taiz at which the protesters called for an immediate resignation of Saleh and condemned the deadly crackdown on the anti-government protests in the republic.
Yemen president Saleh has been facing nationwide demonstrations in all Yemen's provinces demanding the fall of his regime.
