Seven People Killed and 13 Wounded in Sa'ada Province

Sa'ada, Mar 22, 2011- At least seven people were killed and 13 others wounded in clashes between tribesmen belonging to a parliament member, Othman majali and Houthi group.

Clashes between Houthis and pro-government tribesmen of Al-Abdeen tribe, left seven dead from both sides and up to 13 others wounded in west Sa'ada, near Al-Jawf province.

Eyewitnesses said that there have been sporadic clashes around the area between Houthis and tribesmen belonging to Abdin tribe since last year.

Two days ago, heavy clashes erupted between Houthis and soldiers in Al-Jawf province left at least 20 dead.

On Aug. 26 last year, the Yemeni government and the Houthi group signed an agreement in Doha to cement a fragile cease-fire in northern Yemen to end the sporadic battles since 2004.
