SANAA, Mar 22, 2011- More backup army forces were deployed to Yemen's southern port city of Aden on Tuesday after the city witnessed acts of looting geared up by the absence of police forces.
The military forces, including armored vehicles and tanks, stationed since early Tuesday morning at the entrances of all the city's districts and neighborhoods, witnesses told Xinhua.
They said four tourism night clubs were looted and set ablaze overnight after police forces withdrew from the city.
Yemen has apparently reached a turning point after scores of government officials, diplomats, army and security officers have declared their support of pro-reform weeks-long protests since Monday.
