Clashes between Members from Islah Party and Houthi Group at Sana'a University Campus

Sana'a, Mar 29, 2011- Clashes took place on Tuesday among members from Islah Party (pro Sunni) and Houthis (pro Shite) at Sana'a University campus where thousands of protesters protest against President Ali Abdullah Saleh demanding the fall of his regime. This fighting resulted in wounding tens of them.

Eyewitnesses said that the clashes among members from the Islah party, the main opposition party, and members belonging to the Houthi group erupted when the two sides tries to control the stage of speech at Sana'a University area.

According to private sources, Yesterday's clashes came one day after fighting among members from Islah party and other members from the Yemeni Socialist Party, (YSP) the second opposition party in the opposition coalition, the Joint Meeting Members resulted in wounding ten people for the same reason.

The members of Islah party control the stage of speech at Sana'a University campus, and they did not allow other sit-inners to deliver their speech or their point of views.
