Sana'a- Feb 23, 2011- Yemen's Tourism Minister, Nabil Al-Fakeh, announced an initiative for President Ali Abdullah Saleh in which he urged him to hold presidential elections soon and in coincidence with parliamentary elections, expected at years end.

Al-Fakeh urged Saleh not to be a candidate in the presidential elections, and keep his stance as he announced in an emergency meeting with Yemeni parliament and Shura councils earlier this month.

The initiative suggested making security reforms in the National Security and the Political Security through separating their missions from each other.

Al-Fakeh said that it is necessary to solving all suspended problems in the judicial systems in limited time periods. He called for issuing the media law as fast as possible.

Finally, the initiative asked President Saleh to announce the black list of corrupted senior officials in Yemen and to have them stand in courts.
