SANA'A,
May 18, 2012- Anti-terrorist offensive in Abyan, south Yemen forced nearly 160,000
people to flee their houses due to the battles, a humanitarian source affirmed
on Friday.
"Displaced
are suffering an alarming humanitarian situation since they abandoned their
houses and villages over a year ago and are currently living in schools in the
provinces of Aden and Lahj'', Executive Unit of Refugee Affairs reported
The
Refugee affairs estimated nearly 535,000 displaced people in Yemen's northern
province of Sa'ada due to the clashes between Yemen´s army and militiamen of
the Shiite Houthis.
According
to Prensa Latina website displaced people figure is expected to increase in the
two provinces.
