Oil pipeline sabotaged by armed tribesmen in Yemen


SANAA, March 3 (KUNA) -- An oil pipeline was attacked by armed Yemeni tribesmen in Marib province, the Yemeni ministry of Interior said on Friday.
The ministry said in a statement that the 150-kilometer-long pipeline was targeted in Al-Hamajrah district, noting that the pipeline has been targeted before.
The ministry added that it has succeeded in determining the identification of the perpetrator, Mohammad Tahmayen, a resident from Sawareh area.
The pipeline is considered one of the main oil lines of production which spread from Maareb oil refinery until Raas Issa at the Red Sea.
The pipeline has been targeted six times before.
