President Saleh's health is good, Saudi FM says

JEDDAH, July 06 (Saba) - The health condition of President Ali Abdullah Saleh is good, Foreign Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Saud al-Faisal has said in Jeddah city, KSA.

The Saudi Foreign Minister made the statement at a press conference held on Tuesday alongside UK Foreign Secretary William Hague. Al-Faisal reiterated the Saudi attitude that refuses Yemen's fall into civil war.

The Saudi prince also referred to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) initiative, talking about a proposal to be announced as soon as the Yemeni parties accepted. He thanked the British support for the GCC initiative and efforts to solve the Yemeni crisis.

UK Foreign Secretary William Hague called on all political powers in Yemen to take part in a dialogue based on the GCC initiative.

"We respect the role Saudi Arabia plays in this regard", Hague said, stressing that the UK government's support for the economic growth in Yemen and fighting terrorism as well.
