Shooting leads to power cut from Marib Station

SANA'A, March 31 (Saba)- Shooting at electric-transmission lines in Damashiqah area in Marib province has led to power outage from Marib Gas Station.

Caretaker Minister of Electricity Awadh al-Socotri told Saba that the intentional damage has resulted in the fall of wires of three towers to the ground, which he said caused a power outage from the station.

"This exposes the national power grid to a large deficit in electrical power", al-Socotri added.

He called on the concerned authorities to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice and to take security measures to protect the power lines from the vandalism acts.
