Hundreds of protesters continued to protest in Al-Mansora district for the second successive day in Yemen's southern port of Aden in which at least three people were killed and 11 others were wounded during Thursday's demonstration.
Around 5000 protesters took to the street in Al-Mansora demanding the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh inspired by revolts in Tunisia and Egypt to fall the regime.
In Thursday's protest security forces tried to disperse the demonstrators using tear gas, batons and stun guns, killing two and injuring others.
On the other hand, President Saleh ordered on Thursday to launch investigations into the riots that took place in Al-Mansora district on Wednesday in which two civilians were killed and ten others wounded.
Youth protesters and Southern Movement's leaders called for the Day of Rage to be held Friday in Aden.
