SANA'A: April 6, 2012- Yemen's new President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi
dismissed on Friday Maj. Gen.
Mohammed Saleh, air force commander, the half brother of the former president
Ali Abdullah Saleh after nearly
three months of daily protests by Yemeni
low-ranking airmen demanding the immediate departure of Mohammed
Saleh , who has held his post for more than 20 years.
On the other hand, president Hadi appointed new
governors for Taiz, Abyan, Mareh, and Hajeh provinces.
Republican decree No. (41) for 2012 appointing
the following:
Shawki Hail Said as a governor for Taiz
province instead of Hamoud al-Sowfi.
Jamal Nasser Al-Akel as a governor for Abyan
province instead of Hossen Saleh Al-Zaweri.
Soultan Mabkhot al-Arada as a governor for Mareb
province instead of Naji Ali al-Zaedi.
Ali bin Ali al-Qessi as a governor for Hajeh
province.
